Legal
Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Floridge collects through floridge.com and the FloPlanner apps, why, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do with it. "Floridge", "we" and "us" means Floridge, based in Australia.
What this policy covers
- The website floridge.com, including the early-access and contact forms.
- FloPlanner: the Shopify app (Starter), the Advanced web app, on phone or computer and the desktop web app (Advanced Plus).
What we collect
When you use our forms
Your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us: your company or Shopify store, how many products you sell, the plan you are interested in, how you plan stock today, and whether you'd like a call.
When you visit the website
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to floridge.com: which pages are viewed, the site that linked to them, and the browser, type of device and country. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't follow you across other websites.
When you use FloPlanner
- Account details: your email address and your store or business name.
- Your business data: products, sales history, stock levels, purchase orders, suppliers, lead times and costs, whether synced from Shopify, uploaded from files (such as weekly 3PL stock reports) or entered by you. FloPlanner uses this to forecast demand and suggest orders.
- Order data from Shopify: FloPlanner keeps each Shopify order's number, date, status and cancellations, and each line's product code, product name, quantity and price. To tell repeat or wholesale buyers apart, it uses Shopify's customer ID, turned into an anonymous code. FloPlanner never reads or stores customer names, emails, addresses, phone numbers or payment details.
- Support messages: anything you send us by email or through the app.
What we don't collect
Payment card details. Subscriptions are billed by Stripe (Advanced and Advanced Plus) or Shopify (Starter), which handle payment; we receive confirmation that a subscription is active, not your card details.
How we use it
- To run FloPlanner for you: forecasts, the weekly stock forecast, suggested order dates and quantities, and purchase-order tracking.
- To reply to your enquiries and early-access requests, and to tell you about FloPlanner's launch if you asked for early access.
- To support you, fix problems and improve the product.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use your business data to advertise to you or to anyone else.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the website and FloPlanner, and only what each needs:
- Cloudflare: hosts floridge.com and the FloPlanner app and its data, and counts website visits (Web Analytics).
- Formspree: receives website form submissions and passes them to us by email.
- Google Fonts: serves the website's fonts, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
- Stripe: bills Advanced and Advanced Plus subscriptions under its own privacy policy.
- Shopify: distributes and bills Starter under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where it is stored
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
- Form submissions: 24 months from when you send them, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
- Your business data: while you have a FloPlanner subscription. If you uninstall the Shopify app or close your account, we delete your store's data within 30 days.
- Records we must keep for tax or legal reasons, for as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing peter@floridge.com. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. In Australia you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Security
We use encrypted connections, limit who can access your data, and rely on providers with established security programmes. No system is completely secure; if a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you.
Children
FloPlanner is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell FloPlanner customers by email or in the app.
